The FOA Free Online Learning Site

Fiber U
is the FOA website with free online self-study programs,
Fiber U self-study programs cover most of the topics here and allows you to test your comprehension of the subject at the end of each section. Fiber U has courses that correspond to FOA certifications to prepare you for taking a class at an FOA Approved School or Direct Certification.  For most programs, a microcredential
to advance your career.is offered. After you complete the self-study part you can take an online quiz and get a certificate of completion.

Fiber U courses are based on the FOA knowledge base of almost 1,000 pages of technical information in the FOA Guide, FOA textbooks or videos. Each course is created around lesson plans that guide you to read and/or watch material from the FOA knowledge base, then you can take a quiz to check your comprehension. Each lesson's quiz grades your answers and provides feedback on the source and answer to the question to help you learn the lesson.

All Fiber U courses are free. If you wish to get a Certificate of Completion for the course, there is a small testing fee.
