The Fiber Optic Association - JATC Instructors Become FOA-Certified Instructors
The Fiber Optic Association (FOA) has an advanced Instructor Certification - the first in the industry - and the NJATC Instructors can take advantage of it. There are two ways to obtain your FOA CFOS/I Certification: -NTI grads who pass the FOA CFOT test automatically become CFOS/I certified -Pass the CFOT exam, take the FOA TTT course or complete the online tutorial and pass the CFOS/I exam will receive the CFOS/I Certification. The FOA is offering a Train-the-Trainer program for NJATC instructors that leads to the FOA CFOS/I Instructor Certification. This "first in the industry" program brings all the expertise of the Fiber Optic Association to the process of training and certifying fiber optic instructors. You can attend our 2 day seminar at NTI or in Cincinnati or take our online tutorial.
In addition, those attending the seminar will receive special materials which can be incorporated in your own training courses. The prerequisite for the CFOS/I Certification is passing the FOA CFOT exam. If you have not already take it, a CFOT preparation course is to be given at the 2005 NTI. (Look for the schedule to be posted on the NTI website soon.)
The FOA TTT program received a very complimentary report from the Association of Career and Technical Educators in their magazine Techniques, Nov/Dec, 2003. Check out the resources in the column to the left. |
